Job description

Freeway are looking for HGV C+E Class 1 Drivers who have proven Container experience.

Role

Class 1 drivers will be required to deliver and collect Containers from a regional and national client base. Minimum 2 years Class 1 (HGV C+E) required. Dock cards advantageous but not essential. Drivers who apply must be familiar with Class 1 container work and have proven experience in this sector that can be evidenced by work references due to the nature work carried out. (Apply online only) am starts. Day shifts Monday to Friday. The work is generally ongoing once a driver has settled into the client and understands the remit of the role including all Health & Safety aspects.

Requirements

• Be competent and able to follow Health & Safety practises and procedures at all time
• Be reliable and hold excellent time keeping
• Hold a flexible ‘can do’ attitude to your work
• Good command of English both written and spoken
• Excellent communication skills
• Keep vehicle is kept clean and tidy at all times
• Have excellent geographic knowledge of UK road network
• Have a positive attitude and a professional work ethic
• Smart appearance, as you will be representing Freeway Recruitment & our client
• Check in transport before parking up for the night

Qualifications / training / experience

• Valid Class 1 driving licence - Min 2 years C+E Licence
• Valid Digital tachograph card
• Valid Driver CPC card
• Have No more than 6 current points on licence for separate 3pt offences (No DR/DD/IN Driving offences accepted)
• 2 work check-able work references
• 2 years Class 1 experience required due to insurance restrictions

Pay

£16.50ph for 8.75hrs worked - Overtime £24.75ph paid after 8.75hrs worked (Holiday pay accrued). Or £18.45ph / Overtime £27.74ph (Holiday Pay paid out each based on hourly rate).
