A leading insurance company is seeking a Claims Handler to manage claims, negotiate settlements, and ensure optimal outcomes for clients. This full-time role offers office-based or hybrid working options. The ideal candidate will have relevant claims handling experience, strong knowledge of insurance, and excellent communication skills. Qualifications

  • Claims handling experience across Motor/Fleet, Property, Liability, and related sectors.
  • Understanding of FCA regulations and compliance.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client and insurer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients and brokers on claims and settlements.
  • Handle claims across Motor/Fleet, Property, and Liability lines within SLAs.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurers, loss adjusters, and service providers.

Skills

Strong knowledge of insurance, risk assessment, and underwriting
Proficient in Acturis
Excellent communication and relationship management
Ability to mentor junior staff

Education

Cert CII or Dip CII (or working towards)

Tools

Microsoft Office

Job description

An excellent opportunity is available with our client in the insurance sector. We’re here to connect them with an experienced Claims Handler to join their team. This full-time, permanent role offers office-based or hybrid working options. You will manage a variety of claims, negotiate settlements, and ensure the best outcomes for clients.

Responsibilities
  • Advise clients and brokers on claims and settlements
  • Handle claims across Motor/Fleet, Property, and Liability lines within SLAs
  • Negotiate settlements with insurers, loss adjusters, and service providers
  • Represent the business at industry events and networking opportunities
  • Maintain accurate claims records and ensure compliance with regulations
Qualifications
  • Cert CII or Dip CII (or working towards)
Day-to-Day
  • You will manage claims from start to settlement
  • Support broker teams
  • Attend team meetings as required
  • Maintain accurate records in claims systems
Skills
  • Strong knowledge of insurance, risk assessment, and underwriting
  • Proficient in Acturis, Microsoft Office, and insurer platforms
  • Excellent communication and relationship management
  • Ability to mentor junior staff
Experience
