Job description

OLG Recruitment are currently looking for a Civil & structural Engineer to work for a major client based in Immingham. This is a temporary contract position for an initial period of 12 months, and then will be reviewed after his period.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement surveys and inspection program, covering, superstructures, stacks, silos, secondary containment structures, drains, sump, pits, road, rail track, fireproofing
• Liaise with consultants and specialists to develop specific solutions for projects, (small, medium, and large), maintenance and turnaround
• Liaise with plant owner to gather information for the development of specific solutions.
• Be proficient in all, or most, of the aspects of Civil & Structural engineering techniques.
• Design experience is essential
• Experience with specific structural and civil engineering design software is required, e.g Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Tedds, Stadd.Pro, Graitec, SAP2000
• Proficient in AutoCAD, conversant with Advance Steel, Navisworks
• Experience in the implementation and design of temporary works solution, e.g. superlifts, temporary support for retrofitting of new equipment utilising existing

Critical Skills:

• Chartered Structural or Civil Engineer (Or actively working towards chartered status)
• Demonstrated technical expertise (to recognised professional level or equivalent)
