They are currently on the lookout for a talented, driven Civil Engineer with good knowledge of drainage and non-infrastructure design. You will work alongside a fresh team of design engineers, based near the quirky, vibrant city of Glasgow.

Responsibilities

• Delivering an exciting range of projects and developments across the residential, commercial, and industrial landscapes
• Liaising with clients and other stakeholders across the public and private sectors
• Preparing technical documents, including reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, risk assessments, and method statements
• Adhering to company policies, procedures, and best practice
• Acting as a representative of the company at site visits, client meetings, etc.

Required skills and experience

• A UK Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a similar, relevant discipline
• Demonstrable experience of working in a design capacity, within a UK consultancy setting
• Experience of working with water-based, non-infrastructure projects (such as reservoirs, water treatment plants, etc.)
• Good knowledge of drainage systems and strategies
• Proficient in the use of various software packages (including Revit, AutoCAD, etc.)
• Experience of preparing technical documents
• Prior experience of liaising closely with clients and stakeholders across the industry
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable skills and experience

• A UK Master's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering, or a similar, relevant discipline
• A determination to attain Chartered Status
• Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
• Experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments
• Experience of Sustainable Drainage Design (SuDS)
• Experience of working in a public-facing role
