Overview

Job Title: Civil Design Engineer

Salary: £35,000- £50,000 (dependent on experience)

Location: Manchester OR Leeds

Type: Permanent, Hybrid

Base experience: 2 years min relevant UK water sector experience

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with clients to understand their needs.
  • Develop outline and detailed designs, including construction-ready documentation.
  • Support feasibility studies and optioneering assessments.
  • Produce high-quality design calculations, reports, and drawings.
  • Collaborate with contractors, supply chains, and key stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support the professional development of graduate engineers.
What Our Client is Looking For
  • Experience in technical design across multiple disciplines in a project environment.
  • Strong understanding of British Standards, UK Industry Codes of Practice, and Water Specifications.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant technical subject (postgraduate qualifications desirable).
  • Membership or progress towards membership with a professional institution (e.g., IET, InstMC, CIWEM).
