Job description

Our client is currently seeking a Civil Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to manage and deliver large infrastructure schemes across the UK.

The Role

• Design of civil engineering schemes associated with large developments throughout the UK
• Client management including attendance at client and design team meetings
• Recognised point of contact for clients on projects
• Managing junior staff delivering infrastructure schemes
• Mentoring junior staff and supporting their training and development
• Input into financial control of projects, contributing to fee proposals and invoicing

Job Requirements

• Competent user of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AutoTrack and (ideally but not essential) MicroDrainage/Causeway Flow
• Experience of highway/drainage design associated with S278, S38, S104 agreements
• Good communication and people skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Experience of working with developers/contractors
