A leading engineering consultancy in the UK is seeking a Civil Design Engineer with 2-5 years of experience. The role involves designing civil infrastructure for wastewater projects, producing various design documents, and collaborating with CAD Engineers. Candidates should have a background in civil engineering and be keen to expand their project management skills. This position offers a hybrid working model and a contract length of 12 months.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design civil infrastructure for the water sector.
• Produce feasibility, conceptual and detailed design documents.
• Assist with design drawings alongside CAD Engineers.
• Prepare design packs for internal and external reviews.
• Ensure compliance with design codes and regulations.
• Attend meetings to review designs.
• Create various supporting drawings.

Role Overview

Design of civil infrastructure for the water sector, for feasibility, conceptual and detailed designs - namely focused on pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Producing Feasibility, Conceptual and Detailed Design documents.
• Assist design drawings using AutoCAD 2D / 3D or AutoDesk Civil 3D (or similar) software (working alongside CAD Engineer).
• Preparing design packs for internal and external client reviews.
• Producing designs in accordance with the relevant client and water network design codes, regulations, specifications and procedures.
• Working in accordance with CDM Regulations 2015.
• Attending and participating in internal and external meetings to review designs.
• Pipeline / Valve support Drawings, General Arrangement Drawings, Thrust / anchor block Drawings, Site infrastructure Drawings

Key Skills / Qualifications

• Water / Wastewater industry experience.
• Civil Engineering background.
• Keen to take on the Engineering work and gain exposure to Project Management, which will be supported.
