Overview

An exciting opportunity to undertake the role of Civic Attendant within our Member Services Team. You will work as part of a small pool of Civic Attendants who provide continuous cover for civic engagements. The role may involve working in the evenings or at weekends, for which enhancements will be paid.

The key role is acting as the Mayor’s/Deputy Mayor’s Attendant at civic functions and chauffeuring the Mayor/Deputy Mayor to those functions. You will be responsible for the safe and secure custody of the Civic Insignia and security of the Town Hall after certain events.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the Mayor’s/Deputy Mayor’s Attendant at civic functions and chauffeur the Mayor/Deputy Mayor to those functions.
  • Ensure the safe and secure custody of the Civic Insignia and security of the Town Hall after certain events.
  • Provide continuous cover for civic engagements as part of a small pool of Civic Attendants.
Qualifications and skills
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with a diverse range of people and speak confidently in public.
  • Confidence when driving, good situational awareness, ability to work independently and on own initiative.
  • Willingness to follow civic protocols and demonstrate a high degree of probity.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to undertake a corporate driving assessment.
