If you are motivated by purpose, inspired by teamwork, and driven by a passion for working with volunteers, we invite you to bring your skills and leadership to our policing family.

Hybrid working is available for this role; you would be expected to work from the office 3 days a week, and are able to work at home for the remaining 2 days.

About the Role

Your role on any day may include:

  • Working to maximise volunteer contribution in achieving force objectives and to strengthen partnerships between the police, its communities and other agencies.
  • Maintaining and reviewing the force strategy for the Police Support Volunteer (PSV) Scheme, providing guidance on this in line with force policy, and ensuring all activity in relation to the PSV scheme is compliant.
  • Liaising with People Services in the recruitment of volunteers to maintain appropriate resources and identify opportunities to attract volunteers from hard to reach communities.
  • Working at strategic and district level in relation to the Independent Advisory Groups (IAGs), providing advice and guidance in line with force policy and manage the strategic IAG.
  • To provide supervision to the Specials Co-ordinator, Police Support Volunteer Co-ordinator, CSAS Co-ordinator, Volunteer Police Cadet Support Officers and Citizens in Policing co-ordinators across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
