Job description
Overview

This is a really varied role where no day is ever the same. You will work towards achieving the desired outcomes for young people and children in the homes, support the Home Management to achieve and maintain an OFSTED rating of good or outstanding, and ensure the day-to-day management and oversight of all areas of the homes’ operations utilising a quality assurance framework. You will also ensure the home adheres to our in-house therapeutic model by providing support and direction to the staff working in the residential care environment to ensure appropriate and effective staffing at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Work towards achieving the desired outcomes for young people and children in the homes.
  • Support the Home Management to achieve and maintain an OFSTED rating of good or outstanding.
  • Ensure day-to-day management and oversight of all areas of the homes’ operations utilising quality assurance framework.
  • Ensure the home adheres to the in-house therapeutic model by providing support and direction to staff in the residential care environment to ensure appropriate and effective staffing at all times.
Qualifications and Training
  • Ideally hold your Level 4 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce; if needed, support to achieve this qualification and pursue Level 5 in Leadership and Management.
  • In-house Therapeutic training provided by the Clinical Team.
  • Mandatory training including safeguarding, first aid, food hygiene, GDPR and health & safety among others to establish a solid grounding to start your career.
Experience
  • Within the last 2 years, experience in a role relevant to the residential care of children, working with children who have experienced significant trauma to support and manage challenging and complex situations.
  • At least one year of supervisory or management experience, ideally gained in a residential setting.
Salary and Benefits

Our salaries are a minimum of £32,564 plus sleeps in which are paid at £80 each. Based on an average of 5 sleep-ins per month, you can earn an additional £4,800. We also pay an annual performance-related bonus based on objectives connected to the positive outcomes for the children and the home.
