Job summary

A well-established therapeutic children's home in Abbey Gate is seeking a Residential Support Worker on a temp-to-perm basis. Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Residential Support Worker on a temp-to-perm basis for a well-established therapeutic children's home in Chatham, Kent.

This role offers the opportunity to work through the agency for 12 weeks, before moving onto a permanent contract with the service, allowing both you and the provider to ensure the role is the right long‑term fit.

About the Service
  • 8-bedded therapeutic children's home
  • Supports children aged 5‑10 years with EBD and complex trauma
  • Children typically remain in placement for 2‑3 years, allowing for consistent, meaningful care
The Role
  • 40 hours per week
  • 2 long day shifts and 3 short day shifts per week
  • Supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs in a therapeutic setting
  • Working closely with a stable and supportive team
  • Maintaining consistency, structure and positive routines
What We're Looking For
  • Reliable, resilient and committed individuals
  • Must be a driver with full UK licence
  • Open to candidates with experience in children's or adult services
Pay & Benefits
  • £12.50 per hour while working through the agency
  • Permanent salary:
    • £26,000 unqualified
    • £29,000 qualified
