Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 39 per week
Salary: Up to GBP46,581.23 (including Ofsted & Occupancy bonuses)

Seeking a Registered Manager to take responsibility for a one-bed children s home in Barnsley.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will be accountable for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered in line with legislation, Ofsted regulations and organisational policies.

You will lead and inspire a small team to provide safe, nurturing, and effective care tailored to the individual needs of young people.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the home in line with legislation, Ofsted SCIFF and safeguarding standards
• Leading, supervising and developing the staff team, including recruitment, training, rotas and appraisals
• Overseeing admissions and discharges, ensuring positive transitions for young people
• Maintaining accurate records, reports and monitoring systems
• Managing budgets, expenses and ensuring the home environment is safe and well maintained
• Acting as the key point of contact with external agencies, commissioners and professionals
• Participating in on-call rota and, where necessary, covering shifts/sleep-ins

What We re Looking For

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
• Experience of managing a team in a children s residential setting
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Emotional resilience and the ability to support young people with challenging behaviour
• Strong communication, leadership and decision-making skills
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
• UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
