Position Overview:
A Leading Local Conglomerate is seeking a CFO for its diversified business. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a key member of the top management team, responsible for the overall financial strategy, governance, and performance of the Group. The role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, robust analytical abilities, and extensive hands‑on experience in managing financial operations within the manufacturing industry. The CFO will guide financial decision‑making to support the organization’s long‑term growth and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and execute the Group’s financial strategy in alignment with the corporate vision.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term financial planning activities.
- Ensure optimal capital structure, cash flow management, and resource allocation.
- Provide strategic financial insights to the Board and CEO for key business decisions.
Financial Operations & Control:
- Oversee financial accounting, cost accounting, treasury, taxation, audit, and compliance functions.
- Ensure timely preparation of accurate Financial Statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Strengthen internal controls, financial discipline, and risk management frameworks.
- Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments
- Monitor working capital, inventory levels, and product costing for manufacturing operations.
Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure full compliance with IFRS, IAS, local tax regulations, VAT/Customs rules, and corporate governance standards.
- Liaison with external auditors, banks, financial institutions, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders.
- Follow up on all import L/C openings, settlements, and related payments.
Business & Operational Support:
- Support business units in pricing strategy, cost optimization, new projects, and investment decision‑making.
- Conduct financial feasibility studies, ROI analysis, and risk assessment for expansions or new ventures.
- Implement ERP, automation, and digital finance transformation initiatives.
Team Leadership:
- Lead the transition from manual Tally‑based workflows to a structured, SOP‑driven, real‑time financial environment using a new system under development covering Books, Inventory, Contracts and Analytics.
- Build a performance‑driven, ethical, and process‑oriented finance culture.
- Implement daily cash/bank reconciliation and weekly inventory reconciliation.
- Enforce material receiving control, supplier reconciliation, and digital approval workflows.
