Where are we

The Victoria is a stunning Youngs pub in the heart of Surbiton proudly standing on its busy High Street. Weve got great bus links from Kingston Chessington and Norbiton & were only a couple of stops on the train from Wimbledon Esher Weybridge & can get to us from anywhere!

What do we do

Were a locals local with great food. Were proud to serve the best seasonal British dishes with specials that are inspired by our customers & teams travels with a special investment in our Sunday roast (scoring 5 stars from The Guardian). We pride ourselves on excellent customer service a warm welcome and product knowledge like no other pub in Surbiton from our famous Youngs Original beer to our stunning wine selection we know our stuff & cant wait to show you whats what!

We love to have fun with our food and drink & our Burger Shack is a true testament to this. We are the only pub in Surbiton with a Burger Shack Youngs institution serving up the juiciest patties with chicken wings Louisiana hot sauces and spud nuggets! The Burger Shack backs onto our famous garden. An oasis in the middle of a bustling High Street covered & heated in the winter and open to those glorious rays in the summer!

Our Team

Matthew our GM & our small but cracking team cant wait to welcome you to our pub. We have regular socials buckets of incentives & muck in wherever were needed. We really are a family & love nothing more than kicking back with a burger and a pint ourselves.

We are looking for awesome people to join our squad and continue to help us grow as a community we are proud to announce that we will also be having a refurbishment in August 2025. A great challenge for anyone looking to make that step forward.

What we look for in a Chef de Partie

Weare looking for an existing Chef de Partie or an excellent Commis Chef lookingfor their next step who considers themselves to have a passion and flare forproducing quality fresh food in an environment that makes people feel the successful Chef de Partie you will :

  • Have experience championing excellent servicethrough quality food
  • Demonstrate a passion to deliver fantastic foodevery time
  • Be an active hands‑on Chef de Partie / KitchenSupervisor
  • Show willingness to learn new skills be anactive team player with excellent communication skills
  • Working alongside your Head Chef you will beable to demonstrate your creativity and ability by helping to design and deliver new dishes for our menus and daily specials
  • Demonstrate great planning and organisationalskills necessary to maintain effective controls with regard to both GP andlabour
  • Have a pro‑active approach to driving sales and delivering growth through engagement with both kitchen and front of houseteams
