Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operational aspects of the Kitchen and staff in the absence of the Head Chef
• Ensure all kitchen staff are preparing and presenting quality food and that all final products leaving the kitchen meet Company Standard
• Ensure all kitchen staff follow correct food and hygiene standards
• Lead by example for staff ensuring that the kitchen is always presentable
• Provide a 'hands‑on' management approach and lead by example for all
• Participate in the recruitment process as required with interviews and trials for potential Second Chef's, Trainee Chef's, and Kitchen Porter's
• Communicate with the Head Chef on a regular basis regarding all stock levels

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar position is preferred but not essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
• Ability to carry out manual handling, including lifting and moving stock and equipment
• Confident in the use of Microsoft Office and Outlook
