About the Role

You'll be responsible for preparing a variety of dishes, from brunch favourites and fresh pasta to pastries and light meals, with an emphasis on quality, creativity, and presentation. The ideal candidate will have experience with both sweet and savoury dishes, ensuring every plate looks as good as it tastes. This is a hands‑on role in a busy café kitchen where teamwork, efficiency, and a positive attitude are essential. You'll also support food preparation for table service, takeaway orders, and occasional street food events in our outside area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a range of sweet and savoury dishes (brunch, pasta, pastries, light meals).
  • Maintain high standards of food presentation and creative plating.
  • Ensure excellent food hygiene and safety practices at all times.
  • Work efficiently in a fast‑paced café environment, keeping your station clean and organised.
  • Assist in planning and preparing menus and specials.
  • Support service for dine‑in, takeaway, and special outdoor events.
