A community-focused property service group in London is seeking a Chartered MRICS Housing Disrepair Surveyor. You will manage disrepair claims and ensure repairs meet community standards. Full MRICS status and experience in building inspections in social housing are essential. Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role as a building surveyor.
  • Proven knowledge of building inspections and identifying faults for repairs.
  • Good knowledge in a Social Housing environment.

Job description

Chartered MRICS Housing Disrepair Surveyor (client side); We are seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) a client sideproperty and facilities services group that?serves the community, combiningthe best of private sector commercial approaches and customer focus,but with a public service ethos.

The disprepair surveyor’s role is to progress repairs on disrepair claims through to completion in properties in across Essex and east London, review expert reports and disrepair letters of claim, carry out pre work surveys and create job specifications for the works to be carried out. Post inspection surveys will also be an essential part of the role to ensure the work is carried out to the correct standard. The post holder is also responsible for managing variations and attending court cases where required.

You will need experience in a similar role as a building surveyor with proven knowledge of building inspections and identifying faults for repairs. A good knowledge in a Social Housing environment is required. FullMRICS status is essential.
