A leading energy provider in the UK is seeking an Onshore Change Manager to oversee the change management process within the Great Grid Upgrade partnership. The role involves managing daily operations of change procedures, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring alignment between project scope, cost, and schedule. Candidates should demonstrate strong influencing skills and experience in regulated energy sectors. National Grid has launched the Great Grid Upgrade Partnership, an opportunity for supply chain partners to help National Grid deliver the largest overhaul of the electricity grid in generations.
We are moving to a programmatic delivery approach and an enterprise based collaborative contracting model. It is anticipated that the programme will include projects delivered through conventional scope-based contracts and schemes delivered through the Great Grid Partnership (GGP) delivery model.
The Onshore Programme Management Office (PMO) has a significant role to play in supporting delivery of these projects. Change Control and Baseline Management play a key role in supporting the Project teams ensuring that Scope, cost, Schedule, Risk changes are assessed, approved and controlled in an auditable manner and in alignment with set procedures and standards. The Onshore Change Manager will report to the Head of Governance Assurance and Change.
The role will require presence in Warwick / Birmingham a few times a week; therefore travelling to these locations is essential.
A competitive salary up to £76,000 dependent on capability.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on up to 30% on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. The British Energy Security Strategy set out the Government's ambition to connect up to 50GW of offshore generation to the electricity network by 2030. Facilitating this ambition will require significant reinforcements to the onshore electricity transmission network. National Grid Strategic Infrastructure will make this happen.
