Job description
CE&/I Responsible Engineer - Nuclear

Hybrid - 3 days in Warrington office, 12 month +, £55-60/hour inside IR35

We are seeking an experienced CE&/I Responsible Engineer (RE) to lead a team of CE&/I Engineers on the Silos MSSS 2nd & 3rd Extension project at Sellafield. You will be responsible for defining, implementing, and delivering CE&/I work that meets safety, functional, and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of CE&/I Engineers to deliver projects from concept design to handover.
  • Manage and deliver electrical supply infrastructure (LV drag chain, lighting, earthing, fire alarm, CCTV).
  • Oversee programmable electronic systems including MIS, SCADA, PLC systems, and cyber security requirements.
  • Support safety systems, process and radiometric special instrumentation, and remote handling.
  • Contribute to programmes, estimates, and project planning.
  • Collaborate with supply chain partners to ensure timely delivery.
  • Undertake design assurance and provide support to construction and commissioning.
  • Mentor and develop early-career engineers.
Essential Requirements
  • Academic Qualification: HNC
  • Professional Qualification: Incorporated Engineer (IEng)
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in a CE&/I RE role on external multi-discipline projects.
  • Working knowledge of external engineering standards for CE&/I works.
  • Strong project management fundamentals and effective communication skills.
Desirable
  • Academic Qualification: BEng
  • Professional Qualification: Chartered Engineer (CEng)
  • Experience delivering CE&/I RE roles on Sellafield projects, with knowledge of SL standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver innovation and work within SL Gated Process.
