Overview

RPS are seeking an experienced CCTV Survey Crew Leader to lead a 2–3 person team, carrying out CCTV surveys of the sewer network for our clients across the UK. The salary for this role is up to £35,000, negotiable depending on experience. Overtime rates and benefits are available.

About the Team

The RPS Asset, Surveying, and Inspection (AS&I) team provides industry‑leading services to the UK Water Industry. Our employees support water networks, drainage, surveying, leakage consultancy, water resources and efficiency, and analyse complex data to provide pragmatic solutions that reduce water leakage and prevent flooding and pollution.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a 2–3 person CCTV survey crew.
  • Conduct sewer network CCTV surveys, identify defects and produce detailed data for clients.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions, handling heavy items such as manhole covers.
  • Maintain accurate records, paperwork, and GIS mapping annotations.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including confined‑space and NRSWA requirements.
Requirements
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Current OS19X Sewer Condition Classification qualification.
  • Confined Spaces Certificate and NRSWA Signing Lighting & Guarding qualification (preferred).
  • Experience in a drainage or sewer related role.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Experience with CCTV systems and data interpretation.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to complete paperwork accurately.
  • Proficient in navigating drainage networks using GIS mapping.
  • Knowledge of public sewer networks and domestic drainage systems.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and accurate record‑keeping capabilities.
  • Demonstrated reliability and flexibility, including willingness to work flexible hours (weekends, evenings, overtime).
