Agency Catering Assistant - Care Homes & Care Settings
Location: North East, North West, Midlands, Yorkshire | Flexible Shifts

We're looking for a dedicated Agency Catering Assistant to support care homes and care settings across the North East, North West, Midlands, and Yorkshire. This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced kitchen environment while helping to provide nutritious, high‑quality meals that make a real difference to residents' health and wellbeing.

What You'll Do
  • Support chefs in preparing and serving meals to residents.
  • Assist in following IDDSI (International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative) guidelines for textured diets.
  • Help prepare meals in line with residents' care plans and dietary requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen safety.
  • Ensure all equipment and work areas are kept clean and compliant with food safety standards.
  • Adapt to new care settings and work effectively as part of different kitchen teams.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in catering or kitchen assistant roles, ideally within care homes or healthcare environments.
  • Understanding of nutrition, special diets, and IDDSI standards (training can be provided).
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification (essential).
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Flexibility to travel across multiple locations and work varied shifts.
