Salary: £12.92 per hour

Hours: Shift Cover during Sports Centre Opening Hours (Monday – Sunday - 0600-2200)

Your Role

• To deliver a professional service when operating the leisure facilities within Aldershot Garrison
• To cover several roles within the Sports and Leisure Service, such as Sports Assistant, Reception, Fitness Instructor and Outside Sports Assistant.
• To supervise and advise users of the facilities of the regulations, paying special attention to the correct and safe use. To perform First Aid or trained techniques to users of the facility when necessary.
• To prepare activity areas involving the setting up/out of equipment and furniture, as well as the dismantling, security and clearing of such. Also to make sure adequate stock levels are present for the task.
• To maintain high standards of professionalism and ensure the prescribed staff clothing and PPE are always worn.
• To report to a more senior member of staff any matters which do not fall within the role’s area of responsibility, and which may need attention.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualifications: GCSE Maths and English and a nationally recognised Level 3 Industry Qualification (Fitness Instructor Position) is required for this role.
• Experience: Excellent communication skills and strong customer service skills are essential, as is a exceptional telephone manner and an organised and methodical approach to tasks.
• Skills: The ability to communicate clearly and use effective methods to deliver a message are key, as well as the ability to work effectively with others, maintain constructive relationships within the team and wider business, and the capability to deliver a high quality service.
