Salary – Grade 4 (Point 12-17): £24,594 - £26,679

This will be a permanent full-time position – term time only. Hours: 37 hours per week

About the Role

We are seeking a friendly, organised and proactive School Office Administrator to join our busy school office. As the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff and visitors, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a varied administrative role, where every day brings new challenges and the chance to make a real difference to our school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a warm, professional welcome to visitors, parents and pupils
  • Handle incoming calls, emails and general enquiries
  • Carry out a range of administrative tasks including pupil data management, attendance recording and updating school systems
  • Support the Senior Leadership Team with correspondence, scheduling and communication
  • Assist with the organisation of school events and meetings
  • Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding and GDPR requirements
  • Undertake general office duties such as filing, reproductions, orders and deliveries and managing mail

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Able to work efficiently in a busy environment
  • Friendly, approachable and professional at all times
  • Confident using a range of IT systems including Management Information System (SIMS) – training on school software can be provided if required
  • Able to communicate clearly with staff, pupils, parents and external agencies
  • Discreet, reliable, and committed to safeguarding and confidentiality
  • A team player with a positive “can-do” attitude

Experience in a school office or educational environment is desirable but not essential; training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
