FNZ is seeking an experienced CASS Senior Technical Analyst to join our CASS Office, playing a pivotal role in shaping and governing technology‑led solutions that underpin our CASS compliance framework across platforms managing over £358bn in client assets.

This is a high‑impact role where you’ll act as a technical and regulatory SME, translating FCA CASS requirements into scalable, automated controls that strengthen operational resilience, improve data quality, and reduce risk. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Finance, Change, Risk and Compliance, influencing strategy while ensuring audit‑ready control environments.

The Role

As a CASS Senior Technical Analyst, you’ll lead the design and governance of reconciliation logic and automated controls across multiple custody models (including FNZ Securities, Model A/B and TA).

You’ll provide oversight of ICMR and related client money processes, ensure safe and compliant change delivery, and act as a key point of assurance for auditors, regulators, Boards and senior management.

Key Responsibilities
CASS Control Design & Governance
  • Translate FCA CASS requirements (CASS 6, 7 & 10) into scalable technical designs and automated controls.
  • Own governance standards for reconciliation configuration, exception logic, segregation and funding controls.
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy and integrity of reconciliation processes across custody models.
Technical Oversight & Issue Resolution
  • Lead investigation and root‑cause analysis of complex reconciliation breaks and data issues.
  • Design sustainable remediation and verify post‑implementation effectiveness.
  • Act as SME on platform data flows, reconciliation tooling and system interfaces.
Change, Risk & Assurance
  • Assess and approve change impacting CASS, defining control design, test strategy and acceptance criteria.
  • Support RCSAs, incident management and remediation with high‑quality documentation and escalation.
  • Maintain procedures, control narratives and evidence repositories, including the CASS Resolution Pack.
MI, Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Produce high‑quality MI, dashboards and insights (daily/weekly/monthly) using Excel, SQL and Power BI.
  • Provide meaningful KRIs, trend analysis and actionable insight to senior stakeholders and Boards.
  • Engage with internal and external auditors and support regulatory reviews and assurance activity.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
  • Mentor Analysts and Technical team members, promoting strong control culture and continuous improvement.
  • Represent FNZ at industry forums and attend key CASS committees where required.
What We’re Looking For
  • Deep knowledge of the FCA CASS Handbook, particularly CASS 6, 7 and 10.
  • Strong experience in CASS oversight, reconciliation design and automated control environments.
  • Advanced Excel skills (including Power Query); SQL and Power BI experience highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to analyse complex datasets and translate findings into clear, actionable insight.
  • Experience working through structured change lifecycles and delivering right‑first‑time outcomes.
  • Confident communicator, able to influence and challenge senior stakeholders and external parties.
  • Highly organised self‑starter with sound judgement and a strong risk mindset.
What You’ll Need to Succeed at FNZ
  • A pragmatic, solutions‑focused approach in a highly regulated environment.
  • Confidence working at pace while maintaining control, accuracy and compliance.
  • A collaborative mindset, partnering across global teams and functions.
  • Curiosity and drive to continuously improve systems, controls and outcomes.
