Job description

We are seeking a Careers Leader to lead and organise our whole-school CEIAG (Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance) provision. This includes managing careers teaching, impartial guidance, work-related learning, and overseeing work experience for Year 10 and Year 12, as well as workplace experience for all year groups.

The role involves providing personalised advice to students and parents, supporting students at risk of becoming NEET, and championing the needs of vulnerable groups. The successful candidate will also advise senior leadership on CEIAG strategy, implement the school’s careers development plan, ensure national standards are met, coordinate employer encounters, maintain strong external partnerships, manage budgets, and promote a strong careers culture across the school.

The successful candidate will have evidence of ongoing professional development, experience leading projects in a school context, and a Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development (or willingness to work towards it). Strong organisational, communication and IT skills, the ability to work independently under pressure, and a commitment to safeguarding, equal opportunities and ongoing professional development are essential.
