Overview

Job Title: Careers Advisor (Student and Support and Inclusion)

Location: Lowestoft

Hours: Full Time – 37 hpw

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Band G - £24,990.00 to £26,520.00 FTE; Band H - £27,336.00 to £29,835.00 FTE (with CIAG Level 6)

Responsibilities
  • Be a visible, first point of contact for students needing help to navigate their course and career aspirations.
  • Understand student needs, provide signposting, and support access to a variety of provisions.
  • Manage your own caseload and deliver tailored advice and guidance.
  • Contribute to the Careers Team’s relationships with internal curriculum areas, local training providers, employers, support agencies, and other education providers.
  • Collaborate with the Student Services department to support the wider student experience.
  • Identify opportunities for CPD and professional development for yourself and the team.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Minimum Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths (must be evidenced).
  • Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service may be required.
  • For Band H (with CIAG Level 6): CIAG Level 6 or equivalent is required.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
