Job summary

Job description
Main duties of the job

As a Care Supervisor you will manage, support and guide a small team within the Care Services team, ensuring that Avery processes and procedures are followed to the highest standards. You will place the resident’s choices, dignity, independence, and personal safety at the core of all care and support activity, promoting and delivering high quality person‑centred care, closely monitoring and reporting on residents’ daily progress, and dealing with any concerns or complaints raised by residents or relatives.

Shift pattern details

Day shift – 12 hours a day, Monday to Sunday. Flexibility required to suit business needs.

Other responsibilities will include:
  • Promoting and delivering high quality person‑centred care to our residents.
  • Closely monitoring and reporting on residents’ daily progress, ensuring all observations and interventions are recorded.
  • Dealing with any concerns or complaints raised by residents or relatives in a polite, prompt and appropriate manner as soon as they occur.
  • Providing ongoing support for the residents, their families and the Care Services Team.
About you

To be successful you will live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable in all that you do. Your ideal candidate profile:

  • A minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • A recognised Medication Administration qualification and experience.
  • Previous experience in a Senior Care role.
  • Demonstrable ability in organising, leading, inspiring and influencing a team.
Required checks and documentation
  • A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
