Overview

Care Practitioner (Days) – Dalton Court Care Home

Hourly rate: £13.25 per hour

Shift pattern: 2 or 3 days per week, 8am – 8pm

Contracted hours: 22 or 33 per week

Nestled in the charming town of Cockermouth and with stunning views of the Lake District fells, 60-bedded Dalton Court offers high-quality, specialist Nursing and Dementia care in a peaceful and picturesque setting. We are proud to also offer palliative and end-of-life care, along with flexible respite stays, tailored to support individuals and families when they need it most. Dalton Court has been carefully designed to feel like home – warm, welcoming, and inclusive. We are looking for caring, compassionate Care Practitioners who will prioritise helping residents retain their independence, pursue individual hobbies and interests, and stay connected to their local communities and loved ones.

*Overtime is paid for working over full time hours. However, overtime enhancement will not feature on your contract of employment and can be withdrawn at any time as managers decision is final. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’ app. Flexible pay is available via ‘WAGESTREAM’. Advertised pay rate is for shifts worked from 1st April 2025.

  • A warm, compassionate approach and positive attitude
  • A genuine interest in Health and Social Care – prior experience is a plus but not necessarily essential if you demonstrate the right ethos
  • Flexibility to work shifts patterns across the whole week, including some weekend working
