Whitgift House is a unique and well-established care home offering high-quality nursing care alongside independent living options. We are seeking an exceptional Care Home Manager to lead our dedicated team and uphold the high standards that underpin the John Whitgift Foundation’s long-standing reputation.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be an organised, professional, and engaging leader with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. You will be comfortable building positive relationships with staff, residents, and relatives, while ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

Key responsibilities include :

  • Ensuring the effective maintenance, implementation, and development of internal processes and procedures.
  • Maintaining a robust schedule of supervision, quality checks, and mock audits.
  • Leading, motivating, and supporting a diverse team of skilled professionals.
  • Embedding a culture of continuous personal development and regular performance review.
  • Thinking strategically and independently to sustain full occupancy.
  • Actively contributing to marketing initiatives, including promotional materials and social media content.
About You

We welcome applications from candidates with a Care or Clinical background, as well as those who can clearly demonstrate strong, directly transferable leadership and operational management experience. A passion for delivering exceptional care and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential.

Contract Options
  • Permanent : Full-time, salaried role
  • Interim (3–4 months) : Salary pro-rated for the duration of engagement
