Job description

Perfect position for a Care Assistant looking to work additional hours with flexibility in when they work. Your work will involve assisting individuals with their daily routines, promoting their independence, and ensuring their overall health and happiness are at the centre of your priorities.

Additional duties may include the following:
  • Personalised Care: Follow and support each resident’s personalized care plan, providing hands‑on help and thoughtful attention to their individual needs.
  • Health and Wellbeing: Keep a close eye on residents’ health, communicating any concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, helping with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
  • Champion Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued, respected and cared for.
  • Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Safety and Comfort: Create a comfortable living space and respond quickly to emergencies or call bells.

Qualifications required:
  • Proven experience within a similar care environment.
  • Checkable work history.
  • Up‑to‑date mandatory training documents, including Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Moving and Handling, and Infection Control. Online training can be provided for a fee if certificates are not current.
  • Current enhanced DBS check; if the DBS has expired we can arrange a new one for you.

We are unable to offer support for VISA applicants.

This is an ongoing opportunity. Typical hours start at 16:00 and finish at 22:00 the next morning, on Saturdays and Sundays.

You will be paid an hourly rate of £12.35 per hour, with added 28 days accrued holiday pay.
