Overview

This role as a Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare in Littleover offers a competitive salary of £12.35 per hour for a permanent position. The organisation is committed to supporting and developing its teams, providing a caring and respectful environment to deliver exceptional care to residents.

Main duties

Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents. This includes assisting residents with personal hygiene, recognizing and escalating any clinical risks, and acting courteously towards residents and their visitors while respecting their dignity and individuality. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work efficiently and adapt to cover a range of responsibilities, and a compassionate and dedicated approach aligned with Avery Healthcare\'s values.

About the role

Key responsibilities:

  • Assisting residents in all personal hygiene care, ensuring independence, dignity and respect at all times.
  • Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure ulcers, risk of falls, signs of infection and escalating identified risks in a timely manner.
  • Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
  • Practising safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
