Job description
Kingcourt Nursing Home – Carer (36h & 48h)

We have two vacancies at Kingscourt Nursing Home in Chester. The role involves supporting each resident’s physical and mental wellbeing through daily care activities.

Duties
  • Help with washing and dressing
  • Assist with feeding and mealtimes
  • Find out and understand residents’ interests and needs
  • Carry out general housekeeping such as tidying residents’ private bedrooms and communal areas
  • Support each resident’s physical and mental wellbeing through activities
Shift patterns

Day shift contracts: 8am – 8pm and for night shifts 8pm – 8am. Typical day shift patterns are 8am – 8pm, 8am – 2pm and 2pm – 8pm.

Qualifications
  • Compassion, sensitivity and understanding
  • A desire to help people
  • People skills and excellent communication skills
  • Patience and the ability to keep calm and work well under pressure
  • To be thorough and pay attention to detail
  • To be able to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand‑held device

Requirements
