Job summary

A recruitment agency in Ilkeston is seeking experienced Care Assistants for ongoing roles. You'll support residents with daily tasks essential for their hygiene, mobility, and nutrition while adhering to health and safety guidelines. The ideal candidate must have at least 3 months of experience in a care setting along with relevant training certifications. This position offers a pay range of £12.21 per hour, increasing to £16.24 per hour after 7 pm, with working hours from 14:00 to 22:00 on weekdays.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 months experience as a Care Assistant.
  • Up-to-date training in Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Moving and Handling, and Infection Control.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.

Responsibilities

  • Support residents in daily tasks including hygiene and nutrition.
  • Complete housekeeping tasks and follow health and safety guidelines.
  • Report condition updates and incidents to senior staff.

Agency work opportunities available for experienced Care Assistants in Ilkeston.

Responsibilities

As a care assistant you will be supporting residents in their day tasks, facilitating hygiene, mobility, and nutrition. You will be expected to complete housekeeping tasks, follow health and safety guidelines, and accurately report condition updates and any incidents to senior staff members. Residents suffer with age related illnesses such as dementia and Alzheimer’s, therefore supporting their psychological and physical well‑being is of utmost importance.

Qualifications
  • Have 3 months experience within a similar care environment
  • Have a checkable work history
  • Have up-to-date mandatory training documents, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Moving and Handling and Infection Control. Should you not have up to date certificates we can offer online training.
  • Have an in‑date enhanced DBS check. Should your DBS have expired we can offer the facility to arrange a new one for you.

This is an ongoing position.

You will be working from 14:00 to 22:00 on various days between Monday to Friday.

£12.21 per hour going up to £16.24 per hour after 7pm.
