A leading care provider in the UK seeks a committed Care Assistant to support residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care and recognizing safeguarding issues. This role offers comprehensive training and a range of benefits. Ideal candidates are compassionate and eager to develop their skills in a supportive environment.
At HC-One, kindness is at the heart of everything we do. We aim to deliver the highest quality service, with residents treated as individuals with their own stories. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Care Assistant to join the team at Millcroft, responsible for the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of residents. This includes assisting with personal care activities such as washing, dressing, personal hygiene and meals, as well as supporting general activities within the home. You’ll provide care that respects residents’ dignity and individuality, whether helping someone with limited mobility to use an aid, offering comfort to a distressed resident, or providing compassionate end-of-life care, always prioritising wellbeing.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should be able to recognise signs that may indicate abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in related areas. You should be able to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
At HC-One, kindness is more than a word — it’s a way of life. Caring means supporting what matters most to residents so they can live their best possible lives. We nurture five key qualities, the HC-One Way:
We champion inclusivity and foster a workplace where everyone feels valued and respected. Our diverse workforce helps us learn from one another and better reflect the communities we serve. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and prioritise inclusive working practices.
We are enhancing support for residents through digital care planning. This technology helps streamline care, improve outcomes and make daily tasks more efficient. We’re looking for team members who are comfortable with technology or open to learning, with support provided every step of the way.
We care about our colleagues and are committed to supporting your personal and professional development. From the moment you receive a job offer, we aim for a swift start with full support. With clear career pathways, continuous professional development and postgraduate programmes, HC-One will invest in your growth, opening up opportunities at regional and national levels.
Please note: we are only able to consider applications from individuals who already have the full right to work in the UK. We cannot offer sponsorship or accept applications from those on a time-limited visa. Applications that do not meet this criterion will not be progressed.
We’ll provide full training, so it’s a great opportunity to learn something new. In return, you will enjoy access to a wide range of benefits and services to support your well-being:
