Care Assistant at MiHomecare Limited, Harrow. Brighter days. Fresh challenges. Exciting opportunities. We support service users in locations across London. WORK LOCATION: Sudbury Hill, Neasden, Harrow, Stanmore, Edgeware, Cannon Park, Wembley. Pay Rate: Mon-Sat £13.85ph, Sun £14.20. Shifts across seven days a week: DAY 06:00/07:00 am - 2:00 pm; EVENING 2:00 pm - 10:00/11:00 pm.
Responsibilities
- Support service users to live safer and supported lives in their own homes, following individual care plans and assisting with personal care, helping clients bathe, dress, manage incontinence, use the toilet, and supporting them with their medication. Also help with practical tasks like shopping, meals, and housework.
- Help clients overcome mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including using and caring for aids/adaptations and personal equipment.
- Assist with domestic tasks such as making and changing beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, laundry, and emptying commodes.
- Provide personal care including washing, bathing and toileting arrangements while maintaining the client’s dignity and privacy.
- Assist with eating and drinking by preparing meals, snacks, and drinks, and assisting with feeding if required.
- Assist clients with preparing and administering medication.
- Companionship and social engagement to prevent loneliness through conversations, activities, and outings.
- Documentation and maintaining accurate records of care provided, incidents, and changes in the client’s condition.
- Safety and emergency response, ensuring a safe living environment and recognizing potential hazards.
- Collaborate with other care team members, healthcare professionals, and family members to ensure comprehensive and consistent care.
Qualifications
- No experience required in social care; we value heart, kindness, compassion, and a willingness to learn.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities; resilient and eager to develop skills.
- Ability to deliver respectful care and maintain client dignity; commitment to high-quality care.
- Right to work in the UK.
