Qualifications

We are currently looking for an experienced Cardiac Physiologist, who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is based in Weston-Super-Mare, which is easily accessible via public transport.

Your main responsibilities as a Cardiac Physiologist
  • Perform and report adult trans-thoracic echocardiograms in line with BSE minimum data set and local reporting guidelines
  • Ensure quality assurance checks on equipment and action as appropriate
  • Submit reports and archive study images in accordance with contractual requirements and local SOPs
  • Liaise with relevant hospital departments and GP practices for urgent clinical referrals
  • Support with patient bookings, ensuring patient information systems are maintained
What we are looking for in a Cardiac Physiologist
  • Experience of performing and reporting adult transthoracic echocardiograms
  • Hold British Society of Echocardiography accreditation (or equivalent), or be currently collating log-book cases for your BSE practical
  • A full UK driving license
  • A full understanding of the implications of the Data Protection Act, Information Governance Statement of Compliance and Caldicott Principles
  • A willingness to embrace new thinking and new technologies
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
