Overview

Local authority in Bedfordshire currently require an interim capital works surveyor for an initial period of 6 months.

Working within the Planned Works Team you will be part of the Repairs Service to support the capital investment programme and major repairs ensuring homes are safe and to meet our obligations to achieve the Decent Homes Standard.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver contract management and quality assurance for major repairs and improvement works.
  • Carry out site inspections and scoping of works across kitchen, bathroom, roofing, windows and external improvements.
  • Ensure VFM is achieved through commercial awareness and contract management.
Qualifications
  • Technical experience as a Housing Surveyor with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in commercial awareness to achieve value for money within contract management.
Benefits
  • Hybrid working arrangement.
  • Full time 37 hours per week.
  • Initial 6 month contract.
  • £350 – £375 per day umbrella contract.

Reporting to the Housing Property Team Leaders the role requires technical experience to ensure quality standards.
