Job summary

Responsibilities

The key role for a Camp Leader is to help ensure the welfare, safety and enjoyment of all players on camp and on excursions. The role will require you to supervise players between sports and lessons, and at mealtimes, in the boarding house and during the evenings.

Contribute to a safe and positive environment which supports players’ learning whilst having fun.

Guide players through their week on camp, ensuring that they are in the right place at the right time and enjoying their experience with us.

Complete and submit relevant paperwork for any player welfare issues that arise such as medical, homesickness or security problems.

Assist senior staff during meetings to build rapport, check welfare and manage the discipline of players in your care.

Meet and greet players and parents and show to boarding houses in accordance with registration procedure.

Be a point of contact during the night for any emergencies and wake players up in the morning.

Along with the rest of the welfare team, supervise players during free time and organise evening activities.

Help manage the storage and distribution of players’ valuables in ‘The Bank’.

Supervise players on excursions and ensure that they are aware of appropriate protocols.

If required, assist the airport staff teams at either Heathrow or Gatwick on arrivals / departures days.

Qualifications
  • Have previous experience in supervising children in an educational / sporting environment.
  • Be a pro‑active, energetic and problem‑solving focused individual.
  • Hold a first aid qualification (desirable, not essential).
  • Speak one or more foreign languages (desirable, not essential).
