CAD Technician – UKPN ED1SON Alliance Project (Stevenage)

Overview

AWC Staff Services is looking for a CAD Technician to support the UKPN ED1SON Alliance Project with their client in Stevenage.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and update as‑built drawings in AutoCAD, ensuring all site modifications are accurately reflected.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, redline mark‑ups and field sketches provided by site engineers.
  • Maintain accurate drawing registers and documentation control in line with project standards.
  • Ensure that all drawings comply with UK Power Networks (UKPN) specifications and ED1SON Alliance CAD standards.
  • Liaise with design engineers, site supervisors and project managers to clarify design information and resolve drawing discrepancies.
Qualifications
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (2D); experience with utility or electrical network drawings is an advantage.
  • Previous experience producing as‑built drawings for civil or electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with UKPN standards ED1SON Alliance or other DNO/utility project requirements.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple drawings under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a project team.
