An exciting opportunity is now available for a CAD Designer / Layout Designer to join a growing architectural practice. In this role, you will contribute to a wide variety of residential, commercial, and bespoke projects across the South of England, while developing your skills, progressing your career, and gaining experience in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

This is a medium-sized, long-established practice with a strong reputation for delivering high‑quality, client‑focused architectural solutions. With a portfolio spanning national housebuilders, bespoke developments, commercial projects, and private education, the role provides varied and challenging work. The Bristol office is a growing hub with ambitious plans to expand and nurture talent, offering clear pathways for progression to associate level if desired and long‑term career growth to running own teams and moving across the business.

In this role, you will work closely with team members to produce layouts for residential and commercial projects, interpret architectural drawings, adjust house‑type designs, and maintain strong client relationships. Using primarily AutoCAD 2D you will support the delivery of schemes ranging from home extensions to multi‑hundred‑unit developments. Quarterly site visits may be expected.

The ideal candidate will have experience using AutoCAD 2D producing layouts for residential projects. This position is office‑based in Bristol, with potential for hybrid working down the line.
