Job summary

A recruitment agency in the energy sector is seeking a C&I Commissioning Technician for a 6-month contract in Lincolnshire. The role involves updating maintenance records, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of an Open Cycle Gas Turbine plant, and requires strong knowledge of control systems. Job description

Astute’s EPC Contract Power team is partnering with an EPC Contractor within the UK and Global Power Industry to recruit a C&I Commissioning Technician on a 6 months initial contract for its Open Cycle Gas Turbine plant based in Lincolnshire.

The C&I Commissioning Technician role comes with a day rate from 400.00 to 450.00.

Key skills and responsibilities
  • Updating and maintaining maintenance records within the internal systems.
  • Requiring the minimum of supervision, you will be highly self-motivated, having a can-do attitude with an eye for identifying and recommending maintenance improvement opportunities.
  • Actively contribute to the safe, efficient and cost-effective running of the OCGT plant.
  • Developing knowledge of Control Systems once set up.
  • Required to work at height and work in confined spaces.
  • Able to work with Computers with sound knowledge of the suite of Microsoft Office products.
  • Flexible approach to hours of work, particularly during plant outages when weekends, nights and bank holidays will have to be worked.
  • Day-to-day communication with the Lead C&I Commissioning Engineer.
  • Report accidents and near misses and participate in investigations.
  • Experience working within the Power Industry as an C&I Commissioning Technician.
