About the Procurement Team and the Role

The Procurement team support departments in delivering innovative, externally supported solutions and ensuring we make commercially astute decisions across our supply eco-system. This role sits within the Raw Materials category, who manage all procurement relating to our raw materials sourcing across all areas of THG.

This role reports into the THG Senior Buyer. Scope of the role covers full group.

This role is suited to someone with previous experience in buying Raw Materials but we will consider candidates with a keen interest in direct procurement. The ideal candidate will be capable of working confidently with senior business leaders to ensure THG invest in the most sustainable materials.

As a Buyer - Raw Materials & Packaging you will be responsible for:

• Negotiating contractual clauses ensuring risk is appropriately agreed
• Business partnership with many internal functions including Product Development, finance, supply chain and technical teams
• Executing strategic sourcing, choosing the correct channels and vendors
• Ability to communicate contractual risk and opportunity to stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to structurally improve cost and productivity through supplier management
• Focus on supply chain management to ensure we have the right packaging, at the right time and in the right place
• Completing tenders and subsequent commercial analysis to report back to senior management on savings delivered / impact to the business
• Supporting face to face customer meetings, with Global partners & Brands.
