A prestigious UK engineering firm seeks a Buyer to join its Glasgow office in a hybrid role. This position involves assisting the Procurement team to deliver timely purchasing requirements and enhance supply chain performance. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in procurement and excellent communication skills. WGM have an excellent opportunity for a buyer to join the business in a hybrid working capacity based within our Glasgow office, this is an excellent opportunity to join the business as we enter a period of extensive growth.
The overall purpose of the role will involve assisting the Procurement team by ensuring the delivery of all purchasing requirements are made on-time and in full across all business streams to fully satisfy customer requirements.
You will work with existing and new suppliers to continually develop and improve supply chain flexibility and performance whilst adhering to client regulations.
Reporting to the Procurement Category Manager.
To be considered for this position you will have at least 1-2 years previous experience within a similar procurement or buyer role ideally within an engineering or construction environment.
You will be proficient in various Microsoft office platforms.
The ideal candidate will be a team player and be able to operate on your own without supervision.
You will demonstrate excellent communication skills and have an excellent understanding of supply train processes and procedures.
