A local authority organization in Norwich is seeking an enthusiastic Business Support Officer to handle essential tasks within a residential and housing team. Norfolk Residential Children’s Homes provide emergency and time limited, specialist care for young people (male and female) aged between 8 - 17 years, when either family, foster care, mainstream residential or other community-based placements are not possible or desirable at the time.
We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and motivated individual to provide a range of efficient business support tasks, including finance, administration, governance, HR and training, health and safety and ICT, working for a group of teams within the residential and housing team. You will be required to have good levels of literacy and numeracy; this is a hybrid working role and you will be required to work at our base in Sprowston at least one day per week.
Working to a high standard you will be responsible for the everyday running of the teams, dealing with finances (including pre-paid cards, myOracle applications).You will also work closely with the management team to provide dedicated support around operational tasks that keep the home running. The work is busy and varied but very rewarding as you will be part of a team making a contribution towards positive outcomes for young people.

This post involves working closely with children and is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring Service and be subject to 6 months’ probation.
