Business Development Manager – Warehouse Loading Bay Systems

Remuneration: £50,000‑£52,000 + £20,000‑£25,000 commission.
Benefits: Plug‑in hybrid car + comprehensive benefits package.

Industry Sector

Loading bays, warehousing, 3PL, industrial, food & beverage, distribution centres, cold storage, retail, safety, pharmaceutical, logistics, distribution, end users, retailers and health & safety.

Areas to be Covered

M62 Corridor and M25 Corridor (Basingstoke round to Essex).

Responsibilities
  • Field sales role, promoting loading bay safety solutions for warehousing with a focus on cold storage, distribution centres, food & beverage, pharmaceutical and retail.
  • Promote loading bay safety solutions into warehouse facilities targeting health & safety managers, operations managers and finance managers.
  • Typical solutions £5,000‑£250,000.
  • Customers include Coca‑Cola, Mars, DHL, GXO, etc.
  • Work in a team of four nationally, tasked with generating circa £350,000‑£500,000 of new business development.
  • New business/hunter role – selling directly into end users and owners of warehousing facilities or 3PL companies, discussing their safety requirements for loading bays (more than 45,000 loading bays for food & beverage alone).
Qualifications
  • Proven hunter with a field sales track record in business development.
  • Must have sold into warehouse‑associated facilities.
  • Comfortable selling a premium product/solution.
  • High drive and enthusiasm.
  • Ideally sold capital equipment or material handling solutions.
  • Prior sector experience within cold storage, distribution centres, food & beverage, pharmaceutical and retail sectors is ideal.
  • Specific safety sector experience is not essential but may be useful.
  • Knowledge of loading bays not required.
  • Self‑starter, coachable mentality.
