Business Development Manager - Transport & Warehouse

A well-established Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain business based in Doncaster is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business across its warehousing and transport operations.

This role is ideal for a proven logistics sales professional with strong local market knowledge and a track record of winning and developing profitable contracts.

The Role

Reporting directly to senior management, the Business Development Manager - Transport & Warehouse will be responsible for identifying, winning, and onboarding new customers across warehousing, palletised distribution, and transport services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities within warehousing and transport
  • Sell a range of logistics solutions including storage, pick and pack, palletised distribution, and transport services
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to contract sign-off
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers
  • Prepare and present commercial proposals and pricing models
  • Work closely with operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and CRM reporting
  • Represent the business at networking events and industry forums.
Key Experiences
  • Proven experience in business development or sales within warehousing, transport, or 3PL
  • Strong understanding of logistics pricing, margins, and contract structures
  • Established network or strong market knowledge within the Yorkshire / North East Midlands region
  • Results‑driven with a consultative sales approach
  • Confident, professional communicator able to engage at all levels
  • Full UK driving licence
