Job Title: Business Development Manager - Structural Design Software

Job Location: Remote or Hybrid (Leeds, London, Milton Keynes, and Newcastle office locations)

What You Will Do:

Trimble’s Tekla Solutions provide integrated Detailing, Design, Fabrication Management, and Building Information Modelling (BIM) services for the Structural Steel & Concrete Fabrication industry. You will have the opportunity to showcase our market-leading offerings such as Tekla Structures, Tekla Tedds, Tekla Structural Designer, and Tekla PowerFab. Your role will involve finding, pursuing, and maximizing Detailing, Design, and Fabrication Management sales opportunities in the South Region.

You will:

  • Sell Tekla Structures, Tedds, Structural Designer, PowerFab, and Trimble Connect.
  • Additionally, sell our wider AECO portfolio (MEP, Viewpoint, & SketchUp).
  • Stay current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors, and communicate accordingly.
  • Pursue enterprise-level sales opportunities.
  • Manage allocated territory accounts, identify new cross and upsell opportunities, and build long-term relationships to develop and grow the region.
  • Deliver software demonstrations for selected products.
  • Work closely with Marketing and pre-sales teams to plan and execute strategies to acquire new customers.
  • Network with related businesses, partners, and industry associations to foster B2B relationships.
  • Attend site meetings at customer premises, offices, and exhibitions as required.
  • Achieve Key Performance Indicators set by the Sales Management team.
  • Use Salesforce to log customer contacts, generate quotes, and process orders.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts upon request.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring:

  • Proven track record in selling software solutions within the construction industry, ideally in Structural & Concrete Detailing, Design, and Fabrication markets.
  • Ability to understand and leverage the value proposition of our technology to maximize sales and support division growth.
  • Willingness and ability to travel (at least 20%).

Location Information:

We have offices in Newcastle, Leeds, London, and Milton Keynes, but you can work fully remote within the UK or Ireland. Occasional travel to offices, customer sites, and for training is expected.
