The Successful Applicant

A successful Business Development Manager should have:

  • Full UK driving license, with flexibility to visit customers nationwide, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Strong customer-facing skills, with experience in training, presentations, and business development.
  • 5+ years of IT sales experience, with proven success in developing education SI and MSP customers. Ideally from a networking background.
  • Good understanding of education procurement frameworks, funding models, and IT needs (e.g., digital classrooms, secure networks, safeguarding compliance).
  • Highly motivated, well-organised, detail-oriented, and effective at time and project management.
  • Strong market research and analysis skills, able to provide customer reports, competitive analysis, and market insights.
  • A team player, able to collaborate across departments and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
