What is a ghd Business Development Manager?

This is a field-based role managing the day-to-day relationships with ghd’s salon account base throughout Manchester. The role nurtures client relationships focusing on understanding their business, challenges, and goals, and maximising value through partnering with ghd.

Business Development Managers focus on 4 key areas: EXISTING BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT, GROWTH, NEW BUSINESS ACQUISITION, and CUSTOMER SERVICE. Responsibilities include:

  • Nurturing and developing relationships with existing accounts to achieve targets
  • Assisting accounts with sell-through initiatives, education & training, and visual merchandising
  • Creating and managing a territory journey plan
  • Completing territory forecasting weekly & monthly
  • Prospecting salons within the territory to secure new business
  • Providing outstanding customer service to all accounts
About You:
  • Proven success as an account manager with field-based sales experience
  • Results-driven with a history of exceeding targets
  • Positive, resilient, self-motivated, and autonomous
  • Analytical, well-organized, proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Passionate about the hair & beauty industry and relationship building
  • Valid UK driving license
