New Business Development Manager

Location: UK

We are working with an established B2B media owner and data-led insight business to hire a New Business Development Manager to support the next phase of commercial growth.

This role sits at the front end of the revenue engine. It is responsible for opening new relationships, converting smaller opportunities into revenue, and building early-stage pipeline that feeds senior sales leadership.

It suits someone who enjoys outbound activity, structured discovery, and owning deals end-to-end — while also spotting larger opportunities and passing them on at the right moment.

The role at a glance
  • Proactively identify and engage new B2B prospects across technology-led sectors
  • Own the full sales cycle for lower-to-mid value new business opportunities
  • Qualify and develop higher-potential accounts for handover to senior sellers
  • Run consultative discovery conversations with commercial and senior stakeholders
  • Consistently deliver new logo revenue through outbound and inbound activity
What you’ll be doing
  • Building targeted prospect lists and executing multi-channel outreach
  • Leading first conversations and educating prospects on the value of data, insight, and media-led solutions
  • Closing initial deals independently and creating repeatable entry-level wins
  • Developing well-qualified early-stage opportunities for enterprise-focused colleagues
  • Maintaining strong CRM discipline and contributing to pipeline visibility
    Background we’re looking for
    • 3–5 years’ experience in new business, business development, or consultative B2B sales
    • Proven ability to prospect, open doors, and close smaller or mid-market deals
    • Comfortable owning conversations with senior stakeholders
    • Highly organised, commercially driven, and motivated by targets
    • Experience in B2B media, data, SaaS, information services, or adjacent sectors is advantageous
